May. 21st, 2007 01:04 amInyri collapsed on her bed with a sigh, Wyn bounding across the mattress to curl up on a pillow. Shalla wasn't here and as much as Inyri would like to bury any and all emotions in Shalla, Inyri couldn't bring herself to go and search for her.
She wanted Wes and she was vaguely disgusted with herself for that. Okay. She was more than vaguely disgusted. He wasn't some kriffing superhero that would always come charging to her rescue -- even if he had a cape or two. He just had a way of making her forget everything that was wrong in her life, as long as she had him to cling to.
She doubted that would actually work, if the thing she wanted to forget was, in fact, Wes Janson himself.
Inyri sighed, reaching over to pet Wyn for a moment. She made a face at the dog before picking her up. "Your mommy is a stupid, stupid woman, Wyn."
Wynssa waggled her head and yipped happily at Inyri, licking her nose. Inyri grimaced and set the dog back down. "Exactly, Wyn."
She shut her eyes as Wyn curled next to her. Sleep, perhaps, would be better than the waking world. One could only hope.
